Wow! Tine has got away from me. The last few weeks have been busy. My afternoon's are very busy. Helping both girls with homework & reading takes up a lot of time, aswell as the usual things like folding washing, cooking dinner & bathing kids etc. Not much time left over.
A few friends have asked about Paula! Well is now in her 35th week. She is going very well, although feeling huge & carrying a lot of excess fluid. Her last scan at 34 weeks showed a healthy bubba. Babies head is now measuring within the "normal ranges" & basically everywhere else is measuring at 90th percentile. In other words bub's is on the large side! Estimated weight at 34weeks was 2.7Kg OR 6lb. Now she is finding moving & walking very difficult. Her diabetic specialist has said bub is to be born in the 36th week, so really close now. She doesn't have a date just yet. She will be admitted into hospital about 3 days prior so they can give steriod injections. This is to help mature bub's lung's. Because of her diabetes she has to be closely monitored (steroids will send her sugar very high so will be using an infusion pump). So apart from the swelling & occasional chuck she is doing quiet well, although very over it all. By the end of the school holidays there will be a new bubba in the family & my kids will have a new cousin.
Kateleigh & Danika are now on school holidays. Life is good. I am enjoying the slower pace of the holidays. It will be nice to break our "routine" for 2 weeks. When Paula has her bubba we will head to Brissy. We plan to go to the movies, catch up with family & friends too. Always busy in the holidays too, but it's more fun.
Solomon has seen the OT & we have great improvement. She has ordered him to drink 1-1.5ltrs a day of clear fluids. This is proving to be a HUGE challenge & we are not doing very well. Atm the most he will drink is about 500-700ml. On a bad it's it's closer to 300ml. I am trying rewards atm, but still not great improvement. It's like with him the more I want him to do something, the more determined he is not to.
Ok on a not so nice note, my parents are separated. It's been a VERY difficult few months for them. My mum has moved out of the home & it's been horrible to watch. I am close to both parents, so for me it hasn't been easy (nothing compared to them). I am in very close contact with them & it's not been easy. I love them both dearly & there is a long road ahead for both. I am unsure what the outcome will be, but at this stage reconciliation is not looking possible :(. For those that believe please pray for both of them. It's been very stressful & all we want is for them both to be happy.
Ok my time is up. I need to go & spend some quality time with my hubby & kids.
