After we got there, we took a drive into the city & went to the markets. We had lunch as we were all really hungry. We walked around the markets, but during that time Aimee dislocated her elbow! So we had a quick trip to the hospital & they popped her arm back in (still very painful for her though).
We then took a drive up to Messedon. It was just beautiful. I loved seeing all the autumn leaves & the lovely coloured tree’s & leaves. Here’s a photo taken at the “Cross”. As you can see it’s a huge cross & it’s a lovely lookout.
On the Monday night Ash & I got all dressed up & went into the city for the awards gala night. We DROVE in! Ash drove in peak hour traffic & let me tell you that certainly was an experience LOL. I think they drive like maniacs down there!! Before we left Renee did my hair. After saying that she can’t “do hair” I think she did a mighty good job!

On Tuesday we all took a train into the city. We did lots of walking that day & we walked from the city into the botanical gardens. The kids got to have a rest & run & the adults did too. Solomon was pretty pleased to be crawling around on the grass. We caught the tram back into the train station.
Solomon had fun on the train on the way home, kept popping his head over the top of the seat & being a cheeky boy.
Ash had fun playing with the kids! They had fun when he played “the flip game” with them all. Solomon even had a few goes & their was lots of laughter.
The best part about our trip was spending time with Mark, Nee & all the kids. It was so nice to be able to cuddle the kids & do things with them. A couple of times Nee & Mark left Aimee with us, while they took the trio to kinder. Here’s Aimee & I having a cuddle.

On the way home Solomon was as good as gold in the plane. Here’s he is on the plane & then at Brissy airport with Ash.
