The kids were EXCELLENT on the plane. Solomon sat on my lap & was happy to play with the lap tray & look at books. I made the girls a snack pack full of lollies & treats. The first few days we were there, the weather was COOL. So much cooler than QLD!!
The kids hit it off straight away. We had 7 children all under the age of 5. Solomon was the youngest & he had a ball following the older kids & they ALL doted on him & were fantastic with him.
Most of our time was spent at Nee’s. The kids had fun playing. We played all sorts of games & it’s so much more fun playing with more kids!! Here are some photos of the kids playing a variety of games & puzzles.
One day we took the kids to the museum. That was FUN (although poor Nee was unwell that day). We caught a train to the city, and then a tram & we did some walking. My girls haven’t been on a train since they were about 16mths old, so it was a huge treat for them. There were lots to see & do at the museum.
Another day we went to a place called “The Fairytale Park”. It was quiet a way from Nee’s house & the day we went it was HOT. It was 36 degree’s. It’s a place set on a hill & it’s great. The kids see lots of miniature houses & look through windows that have “pretend people” & characters that act out a fairytale. Kateleigh was BUSTING to see Repunzel & she was not very impressed when we found her. She wanted to see the REAL repunzel LOL.
Mark & Renee took the kids & helped them make a crocodile using pegs, glue & eyes. My girls thought that was soo fun. They still have their crocodiles.
Overall we had a lovely holiday in Melbourne. We had 7 kids together & it was honestly quieter than being at home!
Here is me with Aimee. She is such a delight! She has grown up so quickly & she really does think she is 5 already.
Nee & I.
