What a wonderful week we had in Brissy. We had the BEST time. Mostly spent with my sister Paula & her two gorgeous kids Jai & Amaya. Jai will be 4 in April & Amaya is 2 (9 weeks younger than Solomon).

Our kids adore each other & finally the girls enjoy playing with Jai. He doesn’t seem to annoy them anymore LOL. He can talk & play with them. Amaya & Solomon are like twins in lots of ways, although you couldn’t get 2 more opposite personalities! She is a petite delicate flower that whinges a lot & needs Mummy’s attention a lot, she’s a live doll though. Solomon is rather LOUD, physically strong & ACTIVE & entertains himself fairly well.

On one of the days we took the kids to an indoor play centre. Mum was given a free voucher, so it didn’t cost us much at all.

My kids had a BALL. Kateleigh & Danika loved the big slide they had & Solomon loved the ball pit & jumping castle. They also had a ride inside. Solomon eventually came out of the ball pit & got on. But when it was time to get off he didn’t want to. He threw a big tantrum! His first one in public. The kids had such a great time. Here are some photos from that.

After going out somewhere we would go back to Paula’s & usually have lunch together. The kids would spend the afternoon playing together & Paula & I would chat. One morning we went to a park & Paula took a few photos. Here are some photos of the kids playing at her place & at the park.

Another day we went to the Railway Museum at Ipswich. They had a Thomas The Tank display & Solomon is OBESSED with Thomas so we went. The trains looked fab. They also had a man going around as the Fat Controller. All the kids except Solomon thought he was GREAT. Solomon was scared of him. It was a very hot day & Solomon was a nightmare. He wouldn’t stay with me or even listen. He ended up being put in the stroller & there were tears. So you will see some unhappy boy shots! When he wasn’t cracking up he was off having a wonderful time & had to be dragged away from things. He did think all the trains belonged to him though! It was good time for the kids, but I can say I didn’t really enjoy myself!

Some photos.

We usually went back to Dad & mum’s place. My mum finishes work about 5pm. The kids would get in the spa with mum & dad & I would cook the evening meal. They got some special time with their Grandma & Poppy & I got to cook in peace, what more could I ask for? Solomon didn’t like the spa so didn’t usually get it, but was happy to sit by & watch everyone else. Kateleigh is in the spotty purple togs & Danika in the pink togs.
